Default Difference bet. Type-R & GSR clutches and flywheels?

What are the weight/performance differences between the Type R's and GSR's clutches and flywheels? Are there also differences between the USDM Type R's and JDM Type R's clutches and flywheels? Thanks for the info!

Btw, anyone selling a JDM Type R flywheel? Email me...

Not sure about the clutch but I believe the ITR flywheel is lighter than the GSR

R flywheel is 15lbs

GSR flywheel is just over 17lbs

I belive the R and GSR discs are the same and the pressure plates are different

Thanks for the all the information! Would the Exedy Organic clutch set-up be better than a Type R's? (I don't need anything too aggressive- car used mainly as a daily driver.)

For a GSR? possibly.. there's been a fair amount of problems with them on the ITRs.. I would suggest ACT, Clutchmaster, etc over the Exedy Organic..

I would use anything but EXEDY and unless you are runing FI I would say OEM is fine.

"For improved throttle response, the Type R utilizes a special lightweight flywheel coupled with a heavy-duty, hydraulically actuated clutch.

The Type R also employs a uniquely integrated aluminum die-cast engine stiffener for improved engine-to-transmission fastening rigidity to cope with additional engine output and high rpm. Vibration is reduced 22% compared to the traditional separate fore and aft fastening systems.

The Type R, like all Integra models, features equal-length halfshafts, which virtually eliminate torque steer.

Flywheel Information:
GS-R flywheel: 18 pounds
Type R flywheel: 14 pounds "
