Okay, ive heard about the problems when installing this intake due to the huge box, especially those with A/C, but have never heard about problems with cleaning the filter. I was just wondering if its gonna be just as hard cleaning the filter, and having to take it out and all, as it is installing the intake. Will there be ways cleaning the filter w/o taking out the whole box? About how many miles for those of u who own this piece do you wait till you clean it? I heard the filter used in the mugen airbox is just a K&N, so a K&N recharger kit will work? any info appreciated. thx.

 

Easy to take the filter out. It was just a pain in the *** to get the gigantic air duct/tube/whatever in place.

I'm not sure about recharging.

 

The filter is the same type as K&N - I wouldn't bother cleaning it unless it is REALLY dirty.
