Default buying tires online - who mounts and balances them?

i need to buy tires (and i plan on getting yokohama avs es100's), and tirerack and other places all have good deals on the tires. but if i bought them online, who would mount and balance/align/whatever they normally do, to my wheels after i got them? sure i could go to tirekingdom or any tire place and im sure they'd do it, but wouldnt they charge me an arm and a leg to do all that? does it end up cheaper just buying the tires at one of those places rather than online? what does everyone else do? thanks.

Normally when I buy my tires from Tirerack, I would just take them over to a local tire place and have them mount and balanced. Yes there will be an extra cost but not that much. I believe it was $15 for each tire. If you were to buy tires from the store sometimes they will either not carry the brand or size of tires you perfer, the tires are a little more expensive than buying it online and on top of that they still charge you for mounting and balancing.

the warrany n replacement package is only if u purchase their "certificates" which run around $10 a tire but definitely worth it. I got great service from america's tire/discount tire in moreno valley and i actually had to get one of my rear tires replaced becuase of hole in my sidewall and they did with teh certifcate deal... so brand new tire!! youre story is pretty similar to my deal.

I'm in Texas as well( Houston area) and when I asked at my local Discount Tire about them matching Tirerack's prices, they said that they wouldn't. Something about only matching the prices of local area stores that actually had the same tire in stock.

What a bummer ... so how'd you get them to do it for you? Or are they just nicer up there where you are?
