Default how much would you expect labor to be on.........

removing the block and installing pistons and rods? also what for a installing cams springs and retainers. and hondata tuning?

caus i am getting some really big numbers for a lot of shops. like $2000 for the block tear down and asembly. and $1000 for the head. and $750 for hondata tuning.

i would love to install all of it myself but i would not be able to find the time.

what have you paid to have similar services done?

$750 for hondata tuning is retarded.

The other numbers seem pretty high, although I don't have much to measure them against, they just seem pretty ridiculously high.

Thats way to much for everything. That price for the block better include everything from taking the motor out, reinstalling it. And replacing more than just pistons and rods. That better include alot of new things in the block.

Im sure you can find someone in your area thats willing to help you with the installs?

no its only tear down of the block and installing pistons and rods.

and yeay 750 for hondata tuning they must suck at it or something that comes out to like 6 to 7 hours on teh dyno by the hourle rate. maybe i am just contacting the wrong shops about this.

i live in texas right now but probley moveing to fla soon. so i have been contacing shops around there. and fla prices are almost 33% more then what stuff costs here for labor.

if they re bore the block and clean up the head using a machine shop i don't think that is a bad price.
(that does include new bearings, seals, and machine work right?)if not you are paying too much. I paid more then that but i completely rebuilt the Engine with all new parts.
