D16 head on EF DX block

Default D16 head on EF DX block

im thinknig about buying a EF dx that has this done to it and i wanted to know about it liek some specs and if it was a good setup. I have herd some good things about it (not super fast) but good things. If u know about it let me know...i need to know if i should go for this or not thanks Cliff

The only difference in DX and Si head is the camshaft (and possibly the springs and stuff) and cam gear I guess if you count that. Si engine as a whole would be better. DX with Si head would be better than DX engine whole but not as good as the Si engine.

DX and Si/Ex heads are pretty much the same, the Si has a more aggresive cam. Im sure some one else can give you more info. you might also want to change the dx to MPFI. HTH

I don't know about the D16A6 being "better" than a D15... D15's have a little higher compression and a better R/S ratio. Mind you, stock for stock a D16A6 is much better.

The d16 head on a d15 would work pretty well, might even be a bit faster bc. the comp. ratio is higher on the dx. The head itself is the same, it's just the cam/valvesprings/cam gear (maybe), plus the fact that it's MPFI.

im pretty sure i will be changing to multi point because at one point the motor will come out and a 1.8 will go in so..
