Are fender flares illegal in autox?
Just like it says, are these illegal in competition? I was thinking of picking up some black racing 8 spoke in 15x8 and the only offset leaves about 1 inch hangin out.

They are illegal in Stock, STS, STX. Everywhere else is fine. However in SP you can't replace the fender but you can cut the stock fender and add a flare.

okay if i just have full susp ( shocks, springs, sways, & strut bars), plus a swapped y8 instead of a y5, that would put me in the SMS where the bolt on, not replacement, flares are okay? Right...

They are illegal in Stock, STS, STX.

You're confusing rolling and flaring. Rolling a fender would push it up, folding it inside the vehicel. Flaring would be pulling the fender outward away from the vehicle.
