no the front mount bracket is located ont he cross member, right in front of ur radiator fans,

you notice there is 4 mounting locations for your motor, but has port comes with 3 mounts. you need to bang out the front mount bracket.

to do this, unbolt your crossmember (its held on by 6 bolts) unbolt the one 4 on the bottom first, then the 2 on the tie rod. then the crossmember comes down, goto town on that bracket u need to break it off.

check my sig for swap help as well.

do u have a factory crossmember or aftermarket?

because it says that you need to remove the bracket in the hasport instruction manual.

Ok first off the rear motor mount cross member I have not beaten on at all because it doesn't rub any thing. Second the I have already beat the hell out of the front factory cross member. Third, yes I did take the mounting bracket of the tranny, but it still doesn't want to line up. I got the other mounts bolted in correctly and still had a inch or so left between the Hasport tranny mount and the frame mount. I keep thinking its the wrong kit but it looks identical to the one in the instructions, which don't help that much. Oh ya just to let you guys know I have a 91 LS motor. I still don' t know what the hell I can do to fix it so I just got pissed and pulled the motor out again and am going to start all over! please I need help!!!!

On the hasport instructions they say to beat in the rear cross member a bit to keep the mount from rubbing the firewall.

This has nothing to do with firewall clearance. Heel, it won't even help firewall clearance. Rather, it is necessary because the rear crossmember lip would interfere with the rear transmission bracket.

Thats not necessary at all. If you got the hasport mounts, there is no front mount used at all.
