Default anyone install a moroso oil pan on there d16 motor?

i put one on my ZC sunday and i had to remove a baffle b/c it was hitting the pickup. the baffle is removable but i was wondering why i had to remove it in the first place. why would moroso include a baffle you need to remove?

the moroso pan has baffling in it to keep the oil pressure up when cornering hard (in auto-x or road racing).

i managed to bang up my ZC header pretty bad so it rubs the stock oil pan. it rubbed enough to put a pin-sized hole in the pan. i got it welded and bashed it in some, but since i got the moroso pan with some other parts, i decided to put it on.

here are some pics of the pan (you will have to copy and paste the link into your browser):

Is that the same baffling you had to remove?

well i am not 100% sure about that. this pic should help some:

you can see the baffled i removed is, well, removeable. under the baffle that i removed, you can see a cutout, that is where the tube from the oil pickup sits. there is no way to leave the baffle on and bolt the pan to the block (or so i think).

This may be a dumb question, but are you using the stock pickup or the Moroso one? If your using the Moroso pickup, I would be pissed and give them a call to find out whats up with the fitment.
