Metal radiator hose.. need some help
i was considering making a metal upper radiator hose... It would make a lot of room for my intake for the turbo, and also not bulge at all.
is this just a stupid idea, or would it be useful? Where can I find such small tubing for the application?
i found tubing with ID 1 3/8 and OD 1 1/2 but this is too big i think for a radiator hose... the outlet on the radiator is only 1" ID and 1 1/4" OD....
any help?

in theory it should work... but... if you are driving really hard, the engine may rock back and forth in the engine bay (slightly, or depending on what kind of mounts you have) either way, if it does you may end up breaking the metal 'hose' or radiator top or something else... just something to think about..
good point..
maybe its just a waste of time for now... I was thinking of getting all earls lines for the coolant hoses just because mine always hate me and decide to leak or bulge...

They HAVE TO be able to flex. Your engine will move around a bit, and pull stuff apart. If you're talking about the stainless overbraid, then OK, that will still flex. Just don't make up something that's rigid.
