Crank no start - 91 Civic
I'm desperate! Car was running rough one day - next day car quit on the x-way. Had it towed and had it was analyzed and they stated it was the fuel pump. New pump & filter installed, started and ran for about 5 seconds and quit...then no start again. I pulled the dist cap and found that the rotor button screw had fallen out? Ok...I can see now why the car quit. Also found out that the dist. was shot...replaced dist, cap, button, coil & ignitor...still no start. I checked the timing belt and it's fine but when the engine is cranking it sounds too free? Cylinder 3 & 4 are full of oil (rings shot). Checked to see if there is fire...everyone fires. Checked all fuses...nothing. Does anyone how any suggestions? Car has 202,000 miles on it. I know...get a new car.
