i wish. i got screwed out of 2 evo events so far this year, i guess i am destined not to go..

 

I'm going. I'll be in Phase 1 on Saturday.

I got snowed out of the Boston school last weekend, but had booked the Philly school as a backup. Glad I did!

I'm also running a tahitian green '91 CRX Si, but on Azenis....

 

That's funny.

I was going to run my Azenis but decided to run the car in the same conditions as on race day.

Phase 1 on Saturday

 

Yeah aj, me too....

Due to "facilties" limitations I can only have 1 set of tires, so the Azenis are the best of the bunch that I can run on the street.

I'm also very new at this, so I figure I'll wait to switch to race rubber when I'm consistently running within 2 or 3 seconds of the fast guys!

You know I'm in. I'm doing Phase 1 and 2. I'm planning on bringing the Prelude. Do you think everyone will tool on me if I tape it all up with painters tape to avoid cone marks on my precious paint? I expect to nail a LOT of cones...

I'll be there as well. Phase 1 on Saturday and Phase 2 Sunday.

 

joe, you got your car back? how does it look? any pics for us?

andrew, you might get tooled on with the tape. i went to a porsche driving school a couple weekends ago and saw no one protecting their 100K rides (but then again, they are not college students). it sucks that your car is white, the cone marks may show.

i might be home for the weekend and might come down to watch you guys.

 

Rub it in AJ.. for the 3rd year in a row, I'll be off the continent.. I think it's a conspiracy on my wife's part (she always plans these trips, but before the Philly date is announced)

hmm no pics just yet, I've been living in the dyno lab cursing at the engine for that 'other' car. The Integra looks pretty much the same as before except cleaner and with Falkens

Had fun, although for some reason the instruction on looking ahead on the course messed me up for a few runs. But I nailed a cone head on and it popped back up in the box

I highly recommend it, the instructors are excellent, even with hacks like me

P.S. We discovered the fuel pressure regulator on the FSAE engine was scarred by debris, and was missing one of the two springs (no, I have no idea how).

I'm on Auburn's FSAE team, but I'm not going. Wish I could though...

 

Just completed Phase 2 today.

I believe that I picked up more out of this than Phase 1.

It feels like looking ahead has become second nature.

We'll see if that's true at the next event.

And you missed a great course today AJ. Lee Piccone designed the course and was it fast and flowy

I think I took 1st in PAX today just barely.

 

Phase 2 was indeed good. I have some pictures of AJ that I'll put up tomorrow night. Watching him drive is fun.
