yesterday my friend made a fiberglass copy of my front lip, i was wondering if this is possible to do with carbon fiber, and where can i find it? and what kind of procedure would this be? hes pretty good with fiberglass, would it be much different? thanks for your help.

 

should be pretty much the same process as using fiberglass . just make sure to use a clear resin . i dont know if you have a TAP plastics store in your area but thats where i bought a few ft of carbon fiber from .

 

what was the cost on the carbon fiber, and how many layers did you have to do?

 

it was like $40 for 3 ft . how many layers is up to you . i think 3-4 layers should be plenty , no matter how many layers you have , if you hit something on the road it will most likely crack .
