Default Just got my bike licenses April 6, 2003...

I just got my licenses yesterday and im too anxious to get a bike now... I went bike shopping today at a local bike shop and wanted to find a CBR600RR but no luck... They want something like 8g's for that bike and i took a look at the 2003 R6 black with red flames... It was about 500 cheaper then the RR... What kinda price do u people think the bikes can go for??? Im looking into buying a bike soon ... Im a beginner rider and dont want a old bike (to make up the shitty CRX that i have, i need a nicer bike)... Give me some input guys... If your from Chicago land area please give me some details of where to buy bikes, best experience and cost...

Buy used. Thats probably the best advice youre ever gonna get right now. Try to stay away from the current supersport 600's. I'd say find a used fzr600 or a f2 or f3. Chances are you're gonna go down soon so it might as well be on a used bike where parts are plentiful. Used sv650's are good beginner bikes too.

I know the risk of buying a new bike that i will drop it... But thats something im willing to deal with... I dont feel like paying 6g for a used 99-02 R6 or GSXR600's... But my mind can change anytime...

You won't wan to deal with it when your brand new baby is laying on it's side on the pavement Would you be able to afford insurance for a 03 crotch rocket?
