Make sure it's OBD1, or just have an OBD1 ecu. This allows you to use hondata. If you get a complete engine swap, you won't need much. You should get an Si rear engine bracket and driver side mount, but you don't have to. I just cut and drilled to make them fit for now. It's really easy to do, and I just turboed mine acouple weeks ago, it's real fun. Good choice.

ok, you have a b18b in an ek right? i have a few questions for you. you said you need si driver's mount and back mount. do both sides of the mounts need to be si (the piece on the engine and the piece on the car), or how? also, what did you use for shift linkage? what about ac compressor? did you use the stock civic one, civic si one, or integra? what about axles? how hard would it be to wire a 94 b18b into a 96 dx hatch? my friend already has the complete swap sitting in his garage, and i'll be swapping it in for him in the next few weeks, so i really need to know this info. thanks a lot in advance.

You need the obd2 to obd 1 conversion harness, an integra linkage and axles, if you want you can use the integra rear mount bracket, you just have to cut it shorter and drill a hole for the bolt to run through. As for the side mount up top, I used the civic bracket and just filed and drilled for the bolts to line up and made spacers. It's kinda ghetto, but it works. If you have a complete swap and have common knowlege you should be able to get it done.

you said i'll need a obd2 to obd1 conversion harness. however, the wiring on the hatch is all chopped up becuase it was bought as a theft recovery from auction, so i'm going to have to rig up the integra engine bay harness to work. how hard would that be? i'm going to have to use basically all the wiring from the ecu to all the sensors from the integra, then somehow rig up the wiring on the driver's side where it goes back into the car. for the mounts i'll just have my friend find si driver's and back mounts. i was also wondering about power steering, my friend has all the power steering parts from the integra, and wants me to put it into the hatch, since it didn't come with it. the steering rack from the integra will bolt into the civic, right? i've seen this done before (98 integra rack into 96 dx), but i wasn't sure if it bolts right in or some kind of modifications are necessary. the ls swap still has the power steering and ac compressors on the engine. my last question is about the ac. will the integra ac compressor work with the civic condensor? i know this is a lot of questions, but i would really appreciate if you could answer them for me. btw, yes i've swapped engines before (my 97 hatch has a d16y8), but i've never done a b18b into a hatch before, so i need to make sure i have the correct info before starting this.

Forget about power steering and ac, waste of time and weight. Allows your engine bay to be simple and easy to work on. But for the wiring, good luck. Does it run right now? If it does, just get the harness. If not, look around on the internet or get a helms manual. That part is going to take forever. Some of the wires for the conversion harness went to the wrong places. It took about a day or two to find where they went.

well, its my friends car, and he wants the ps and ac, so i have to just go along with whatever he wants. i haven't put it in yet because he wants to do the body work first so he can paint the engine bay before the engine goes in, so i'm not sure when i'll be putting the engine in. ya wiring sounds like its going to be a major pain in the ***, i'll have to rip some good $$ off of him after swapping it .

why is everyone talking about going obd2 to obd1? I know obd1 = 100000x easier/cheaper to tune but just wondering. I wish it was that easy in NJ to take obd2 cars and make them obd1 but with new smog standards, obd2 port sniffing is coming by the end of the summer
