So I finally got to take my car apart to put in the type r oil cooler that I got a few months ago. I only paid 50 bux for it. When I got it, it looked like the ones online, I never paid attention to the details tho..

So I go to install it today, and WTF..something is wrong.. So I checked acuraautomotiveparts.org and what do you know..the nipples on top are different (pics will explain..) As for if the base fits..i dont know, as im not even sure if its spose to fit on my car!, WTF!!!!!

There are numbers on the bottom however, this is what it says.

Anyone know what car this oil cooler is from? Or better yet..Can i cut the angle off the other nipple with the 45o bend..and get some coolant hoses with a 90o bend and get this to fit my gsr? I got all the other parts I need..just the cooler is ******* different..

Alright, pics are up. Also if anyone has a REAL type r/94-95 gsr oem oil cooler and wants to sell..let me know please.

 

Maybe that's your problem... you have a Type R cooler, and need a GS-R?

 

I saw how the type R ones connect to the block, same as the gsr.

What i have here is a reject, lol

 

im pretty sure that the ITR/GSR oil coolers are the same

 

only other car i would think has one are probably NSX/S2000. perhaps RSX or TL and all those L cars.. maybe look into that. take it to honda
