Can A H22 engine bolt up to my automatic tranny in my 96 accord?
Wut's up? I have a non-vtec sohc 96 accord, I was wonderin' if a H22a engine would bolt up to my automatic tranny in my 96 accord? I really want to do this swap, but if I can't get this done then I might just do a sohc v-tec. Would it be better if I just got both the automatic tranny for a H22a and the H22a engine, or just keep my tranny and drop the H22a in there with my stock tranny? I don't know what to do, I'm so lost. HHHHHHEEEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPPPPP
If its a 96', than yes it will fit. If I were you id buy the complete swap and do an auto to manual conversion. The H22 is much more fun with a 5 speed. Unless you enjoy your automatic. But what ever you do stick with h22. The swap is easy.
I would love to convert my car to a 5 speed, but my funds are very limited. So your saying that a h22a would drop right into my engine bay, ok that's cool. Now, what I meant before was would I be better off getting an automatic tranny from a h22a, or could I just stick with my automatic tranny I have now? Sorry to be a bother, new on the import scene. Wanna learn and do as much as possible. Thanks
Yeah, you can use the accord tranny. That'd be the best way to go if you want to save some bucks. You looking at a big price difference when you buy a longblock rather than the swap itself.
