I purchased my spot from an unnamed member of this board. I'm sorry he wasn't able to make it, but thanks to him I'll be able to attend!

I got my new type R less than a week ago, and now have a list of things to install from my old itr before we leave for the expo road trip:

- itr tranny with ATS 4.9 final drive

- TODA clutch and flywheel

- SPOON calipers with APP ss brake lines and ENDLESS NA-R front/ CC-X rear pads

- HYTECH header with custom cutout and 2.5" exhaust to APEX-i N1 can

- APEX-i N1 coilovers (99 spec)

- VOLK RACING TE37's with hoosier slicks

- MUGEN pedal set

- PIVOT shift light

- APEX-i VAFC (plug and play thanks to kenji, so that's easy)

- CARBING oil catch can


Oh yeah, can you guys help me out? I have a dilemna...

I have 2 sets of stock rims: one with bald (14k mile) re010's, one with some crappy pep boys tires that the former owner put on there, the te37's with hoosier 225's, and 2 slipstreams without tires... What should I put on where and run at the expo? I don't want to run on race rubber, but these re010's wouldn't be safe to drive on to/ from the expo..... I may have a couple good avsi 205's that'd last the weekend, but that's only 2 tires.....

I approved this one and had approved a couple others that did not happen.

We are locked down at this point unless we have a really good reason so even if your car blows up everyone is pretty much SOL.

 

why not running on r-rubber?
you said the re-010 is not safe to drive, right?.......I'll run the pep-boy tires to expo and change the r-rubber for track.

 

damn ken, i'd be suprised if i even wash my car before expo.....lol

 

Wow, Kenny, do you really want to do all those install before the expo? I'd just leave the tranny & the clutch alone for now.

I may be able to help out on Wednesday night. I really don't know though. I have to fix my rear sway bar before Th.

 

some of these sound like good tech session installs!!

 

How about all the tech sessions are putting together Ken's car?

 

I got a couple RE010s with lots of tread left I can bring... let me know

 

I would buy a set of Falkins Azenis (sp) and mount them on a set of the stock wheels, or the TE37s which ever is easier..

ken, do not use those R's at the expo. they are shot. totally annilated. maybe an autocross or 2, but they are done. no track use!

Ken I am not sure we shouldn't just have your own run group so you can show us all how to own a few curbs. Don't think the tires matter just run insufficient air pressures.
