Default Need help on new tranny for B16A CRX?

Ok,
I need help with this problem, I have a USDM B16A w/a JDM head, now my tranny is going out. I currently have a SL3(Si cable tranny) but I drive the car every day to work(daily driver), and someone told me that if I put a L3(dx tranny) my gas milage will improve and my engine will last longer because it doesn't force itself.

What do you think?
Oh, and I dont race in strip, I race on a 2-mile track every other month.

Comments strictly welcomed.

I am not familiar with those tranny codes, but my y1 in my b16 Crx has very long gears, might be better for the road course. I got 32 miles to the gallon bringing the car back from Miami. The ys1 tranny is type r ratios so you should avoid that one. Some of the s1 tranny have a in between ratio. You can get the y1 very cheap too.......Also depends on the car (weight) and if the car is n/a or not.
