crappppppp did i blow my starter!?!?
OKAE FORGET THE FIRST POST! ive got a bigger problem! i put the key in and i started hearing a pressurizing sound..so i looked...an i saw SMOKE! coming from my starter area...i quickly unplugged my negative terminal...i thought the terminal for the starter was touchign something so i loosened it...when i reattached the battery the car started to turn over on its OWNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!! and it started to smoke from the battery terminal...it actually melted a gash on the terminal!!!!!! whats going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It may not be grounded properly. If you hadn't already, pull the starter and replace it.
This may not happen to you, but my dad's old car caught on fire due to a faulty starter. It's actually a funny story. We traded it in at the dealership and after we left it caught on fire in their parking lot! hehe!
But be careful cuz you don;t want that happening to you.
