I'm thinking about painting my Valve cover red. I wanted to see if anyone had painted theirs and what prep work was needed and what paint was used. Thanks!

I painted the valve cover on my GS-R red. I used VHT Wrinkle Plus Red paint (SP-204) and it has the same red color and texture as the Type-R valve cover. You can go to http://www.geocities.com/bretq/Valve...tructions.html for step-by-step instructions.

where did you get the paint? cant find the wrinkle paint anywhere.

 

I bought mine locally from Jegs ( http://www.jegs.com ). I checked Jegs website and they only list the black wrinkle paint. You can get the paint from Summit Racing. Here is a direct link: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...rt=VHT%2DSP204

 

is there anywhere else i can buy this paint...it sucks that the paint costs 9 bucks and handling is 8 bucks...thanks
