Car problem: I start the car, everything runs fine, RPMs go up to 1500, then drop and I stall out. I tried different settings on the Field controller, and nothing does it. I try giving it some gas and it feels like no gas gets to the engine and the RPMs still drop and I stall out. This problem occurs once a week. The rest of the time, the engine runs like a dream, anyone out there that can help me??? is there something stupid that I should check and it would slove what's going on? just shoot me ideas, I'm tiered of this problem. Thanks!

Do you have cams?

 

engine is a b20/vtec, toda cams, timing set at 0. 12:1 compression.

 

when I push on the gas once the car is started, it boggles and jumps around, the RPMs don't go up constant. I can't pass 4000 RPMs. if I stop giving it gas, it stalls out immidiatly. help from anyone would be greatly appriciated!

 

could it be a bad fuel pump? or my injectors are clogged?

 

anyone??? could it be the ignition timing?

 

try changing your fuel filter..... Its cheap could work

 

thanks for the good idea. I'll look into the fuel filter. anyone else have this similar problem that could help?

 

Did you lean it out as much as you can at idle usint the SFC?

Also, you can try adjusting the idle screw on the TB.

 

yeah Brian, I've been playing with the TB all morning and I tried leaning it out, riching it out, everything... blah, I give up, it's time for a visite to Inline Pro. thanks for your help guys.

just to follow up, I had an ignition problem and my fuel pressure was wack. I need a nice s100 system and get dynoed, then I'll be running fine.
