Top Speed
What is the top speed on the S2K. I thought it was going to be around 142-145 with the gov, but I had it at 146 the other night and didn't seem to want to stop yet.
Just incase anyone wants or needs to know, it was a 6 lane FWY at 2:30 am and not a car on the fwy, so if I spun or whatever nobody would have gotten hurt except for me. This is the only senario that I would do such a thing.

There is a video floating around somewhere of an s2k on a huge down-hill run going 176mpg. I don't believe there is actually a governor on the car, but it is limited by gearing and more importantly by drag.
No gov. Sweet. Maybe someday I'll break my personal land speed record. Thanks for the info. I'm going to search for that video. Any idea on the name of it?
I believe it goes up to 190. I remember reading that someone had maxed it out by hooking it up to computer or something and it was wierd because it didn't go to the expected 199, but to something odd like 190 or 191.

Yes, I got it last night. It's a video in KPH on http://www.s2ki.com. I believe he went to like 281 kph, which translates to something like 174mph.
It got up to like 250 kinda quick, but it took a long time after that to get any faster.
EDIT: See how nice I am? Here it is, I uploaded it for ya on We-Todd.

The dealer told me the governer was at 150, but I haven't presonally tested this. From what everyone else is saying, the 150 governer doesn't seem accurate.
Anyway, I figured from stock sized wheels/tires properly inflated, in 6th gear at 9000 rpm with no resistance on level ground, you would be hitting 188 mph. I'm white though, so someone may wanna check my math on that.

my infamous story on H-T against a Celica Type-S was when i took my S2K to its top speed.... the speedometer read 160mph, but then i was flamed and told that S2K speedometers are off my 3% sometimes, so that means i actually only went 155mph....
