Grounded my 2nd O2 Sensor - Is this Ok?

I just bought an AN-R header for my B16a engine and it only has one O2 bung. Since my car is ODB0, I need to run dual sensors. I can add a second bung (not good since my header was ceramic coated) or I was told I can just 'ground' the 2nd sensor.
Before installing the header, I decided to ground the sensor to see its effect. When I looked at the 2nd sensor on my hondata, it read 0 volts so I know it's grounded. It would usually start at 3.85 and work its way down as it heated up but this time it started a 0 while the 1st sensor counted down.
My question is if anyone knows if grounding the sensor will cause any ill side effects like performace loss or generate cels. As far as generating cels, I did receive two check engine lights this morning during my drive to work. I had to reset it by turning off the car.
I plan on going ODB1 soon but would like to run the car ODB0 for a while still if this trick works. Then I can install the header and test it.
Sorry for the long post and thanks for your input

i would think it would cause a cel. why dont u just splice your other o2 reading into the 2nd o2 wires so the comp will read the same for both? you might use less or more fuel with 0v on the 2nd o2, not sure if u will use more or less tho.
im obd0 and i only have 1 o2 sensor btw.

I'm pretty sure you'l get CEL's, check out this thread for what to do with it: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=317499
Also, turning off your car will not reset the ECU, you need to cut the power to the ECU

If you're talking about grounding the mounting threads of the sensor itself, yes - do that. At first I thought you meant you were gonna leave the sensor off & ground the signal wire - don't do that.
2nd O2 is only used to make sure the CAT is still good, u can leave it in open air instead..just let it hang

So would you recommend getting a cat with a bung and placing it in there? and what about hondata roms. i heard they will fix the problem leaving them open all the time. is that true and the easiest fix?

You could stay obd0 and just do this:

NO, don't do that. Did you read my post? It uses both O2 sensors to trim fuel in closed loop. Don't be giving out bad info too!! Either convert to OBD1 or put in a second O2 bung like in the post someone pointed to above.
