Default Would like to speed up SOHC motor.

I blew my zc engine. Now I'm gathering intel on where I can find parts for my stock engine. I was contemplating putting my zc pistons in and having the head milled. Let me know if you know where I could buy a cam and other parts.
Thanks

How much was the race kit? And is it worth it for a street application?

Yea in my zc engine I had a set of gude cams and an ecu upgrade. So I know what your talking about the idle. When you get high profile cams you get the rattle. Mine would idle most of the time. But occasionally stalled at a light. That only happened once every couple of weeks.

Well I never had it dynoed. I had a few other things done like port and polished head. Three angle valve job. Had the head milled three thousandths of an inch. Not to mention the ecu. I was beating guys with b16's. So I was pleased with it. I like to think I'm a good driver haha right

The kit was about $1500 shipped from Cali. to Del. As I said the car is fast as **** so if you are looking for a car that is really fast then its great.

-BUT-

The car will not idle so, I have to keep the RPMs up using the gas pedal. This makes driving through town or in traffic VERY difficult.

Here is a little movie of me taken off after I had the kit installed.

they are about 2 MB each with so 56K beware!

Try exospeed, i've heard nothing but good comments on their Cam and head packages. When the day comes that i finally swap in a Z6 into my rex, Exospeed is my plan

i would also like to know about this. Would exospeeds sr909 cam be better than delta cams 272 profile cam??? I know the specs for the 272 profile are 425 int/exh lift and 272 int/exh duration, is the sr909 cam better???

ME?

We tried that. it woln't fix it. What ends up happening is the freaken RPMs will be smooth but then the computer will make them climb and climb to like over 5K then we just shut down the engine and said that ain't gonna work.
