Default wiring in a 93 civic cx with b16???

ok i came across this website that was very informative
http://b16a.honda-perf.org/wiring.html
im asking people who have b16's in their 93 hatches. - i know after adding the vtec wires and the knock sensor wires thats pretty much it, but what about that evap pirge solenoid wire???? did you guys add that too or was it already there . the reason im asking is because the page i listed above says that you dont have to add it if smog isnt a concern. well i need to pass emissions here in ga and i need to know abot this evap purge solenoid. all the other websites all mention this but i dont know what it is.. i thought that you could get away with just hooking up the vtec solenoid wire, the vtec pressure wire and ground, and the knock sensor.. am i wring in thinking this??? please help
