Default SAFC II questions

My friend is looking at getting the Apexi SAFC II for his RSX Type-S. He's done the usual I/H/E - and thinks this is the next step for his planned NA setup. My question here is what are the typical gains seen out of a tuned SAFC? Is there any other system that you would suggest like a hondata or Venom? And how hard is it to tune? I know everyone will say to take it to a pro, but maybe there's a common fuel map(s) that most people find to be the best. Thanks.

I personally do not think its needed unless he upgrades his cams or after some other major modification affecting Airflow/Horsepower

So making the most out of your modifications isnt important?

afc is a waste of money on the RSX..

tell him to save up $300 more and get the ECu upgrade. Trust me.. well worth it and the Upgrade also give you the most out of ur mods

So you're saying that the gain from an AFC isn't as big as what he'd get from upgrading his ECU with the mugen program or the hondata program? What could he expect out of the AFC compared to the hondata?

If any hondata or AFC isn't the next step - what would my friend do next? We're still not trying to do major surgery to it yet as in cams, pistons, turbo, NO2 or anything like that until the warranties start running out.
