Repair question re: Radiator support
I need to get the lower x-member (number 2 in the diagram below) replaced, and was curious if it's simply a matter of drilling out the old spot-welds and spot-welding in the new one.

yes. pretty simple to do. if you get an aftermarket support then drill the holes in it first before welding it in.

that photo is straight off carland, so i'm assuming it will come with the holes but if not no biggie. thanks for the help and the heads-up!
just drill out the spot welds, if you can get a spot welds drill bit remover, it'll make you cuss less than using a normal drill bit. if using a normal drill bit, do it at moderate speed, if you do it too fast, you drill through the hole, but you're melting the two surface and makes them stick again...
