You need to get the cat custom made...it comes from Carsound as a blank cat. No 02 bungs & no flanges. An exhaust shop can weld on the flanges and bung(s) and slice the cat as necessary to fit your application.

 

If you order a universal Carsound cat., then no. If you order one that has been custom made for your application, then yes .

EDIT: To avoid confusion, I should mention that the "custom-made" cats. which I refer to start out as universal Carsounds, but are assembled to the correct length and with the correct flanges, bungs, etc.for each application These are not available from Carsound, but instead can be purchased from companies such as SMSP and IPS Racing.

I'm assuming you'd have to specify your application upon ordering the custom cat? I'm planning on replacing my cat when I get my DC JDM 4-1 and I don't know exactly what the scenario is gonna be like, especially since I have the extension piping on my ITR exhaust for my 96 GSR.

Does anyone have a similar setup...just in order for me to know what needs to be done for the install?

You'll just need to run the standard GS-R (94-99) version of the Carsound for JDM-spec. headers. As far as the install, everything will bolt-up.
