Greddy Sp questiion?
problaby one of my favorite exhausts...had it on my crx and loved it...very very quiet. And looks good...the only thing i dont like about is the rolled tip. Catback used problaby round 350 id say, if in good condition
Any of you know if a GReddy SP from a 90 Integra can be modified to fit a 91 EF hatch or even a 91 EF sedan? I have a chance to get my hands on the rear section of a GReddy SP from a 90 Integra for real cheap. I don't want to put it on my teg cause I'm bout to sell it.
it can be modified by a muffler shop or if you know how to weld. The pipe the tip is welded to is a lot longer and the hangers are in different positions.also where the Greddy connects to the other parts of the exhaust it is not in the same location as stock.
not to get you p[issed off if you really were planning on getting the SP, but i had it on my GSR for like 2 years and it ended up craqxking all around the welds.First around the resonator, then around the tip on the can.I mean i loved it(the sound and look)before everything happened, but not worth buying an exhaust and it start doing that! First thing that i noticed was one day the liner inside the muffler must have rusted or something, but it broke(the thing holding the steel wool inside the muffler)so like i saw a **** load of steel wool stoicking out of my tip, i thought someone had stuck **** in my exhauast 2 **** with me, but i couold tell it was from inside, it was like a snake the magician has...kept on coming out forever.Well it eventually cracked all around the tip, and the resonator cracked so everyhitng behind the flange holding the resonator fell to the grroound, and i had to drive home like 23 miles like that...scraping the whole way!
....so just a heads up on what MITE happen, not gauranteeing nething, but just telling you my experience!...I know have apex WS got it for 389.95 shipped

the apex'i ws looks very very similar & sounds similar to the sp--the ws does not have a rolled lip so i like that better-fitment is good & i have had no issues & it's been on my car for quite awhile now--ws gets a

here's a couple pics of my sp on my 97 ek, just to give you a sense of what it looks like. i can assure you that it is one of the quietest exhausts out there. i haven't had any problems as far as cracks at the welds or leaks. hope this helps
My friend had the sp on his car for over 3 years...and it never had a problem liek the one above. The sp is 50mm versus the mx which is 60mm. NOt much of a difference. 60mm equals about 2.38 inches. Almost 2.5 inches but not quite. Its the same as the world sport, n1 and all those cat backs as well. For na either or would work well...just go with looks. I like the mx look better then the sp personally. But i like the sound of both. Sp is just very quiet. ANd thats what i like too...so its up to you
