Installed my lower tie bar today
First off, let me say I'm glad I didn't do it myself. I went to a near by auto-performance shop and they charge me $35 to install it. Taking off the bracket and control arm bolt were easy but the guy had a hard time putting back the bolt on the control arms, it was a pain he told me. Glad I didn't do it myself and for $35, why not let them do it.
I must say though that I do feel a difference with the lower tie bar install. The back feels stiffer and MUCH BETTER
(*The strut bar is a generic brand, MATRIX, but I must say it feels like high quality stuff. The bar was stiff and you could feel it was good stuff*). Before the lower tie bar install, the back felt mushy but felt much stiffer now. I am rolling on a stock suspension with a Neuspeed 4-pt strut bar for the front. Most people say you very little if anything at all but I certainly feel a good noticable difference with the lower tie bar install.
But yeah, I know the Type R sway bar would have been a better buy but I don't need it to turn like a race car plus I like the polish alloy look of the lower tie bar underneath the car.

You could have just saved that 35 bucks. all u do is unblot the trailing arm from the upper control arm and you can bolt all the lca bolts in perfect, then jack up the trailing arm so you can align it to the uca and slide the bolt on in. Worked like a charm for my dad and I.
