I have a b16a wondering what to do?
alright i have a b16a engine and i was planning on down the road to run a vortech supercharger with a after cooler.,
but i was wondering first what i should do to my engine sooo it can handle more power.. i was going to get valves, springs, pistons, cams, camgears and retainers, headers, full exhuast, and like throttle body, and a intake manifold.. i was wondering iff i should get anything else to make it all run properly like, should i do head work and if i should what kind of head work, should i get a fuel pump and map sensors, what should i do,, and what kind of horse power should i get?

yeah i don't like turbo more risk of hurting your engine and i like supercharger because its always running turbo u wait for it to kick in.. soo do you have an anweser to my question
Well with turbo at least you wont have to worry about traction off the line since it takes time to spool up, and who cares about spooling up, you're running 12's lol.
Well its your car and your choice to go with the Vortech supercharger. But just so you know, a turbo is no harder on your engine than the Vorthen supercharger. Boost is boost.
The truth is, you don't have to do anything to your engine for the Vortech. Its a bolt on affair. If you plan to run more boost than it comes with originally, some forged pistons and a set of forged rods will be pretty much necessary. A good high flow header and exhaust would be great. I personally have no experience with the Kamakazi (sp?) header, but from what I hear its well suited for a supercharged application. Perhaps a high flow fuel pump and a set of higher flow injector would provide the additional fuel needed. I don't think any head work is required, but would yeild more power. You may want to consider proper tuning of the engine. Perhaps a Hondata with boost option and maybe a J&S Safeguard to protect against detonation.
If done right, it is possible to get like 300 peak hp with the vortech, it all depend on the amount of money you have to spend.
