Late Night Clutch Install...Thanks BlueR !
I arranged to get my clutch and Comptech FW installed by Marc's shop on Sunday Afternoon. But, he asked if I wanted to do it last night. I had to do something with my Dad, so I wasn't able to get to his shop until 11pm. After they finished another job, they got started around 1am. Finished the job around 3am and I got home around 4am.
Stunnah Story: I was driving Marc home, in Chinatown around 3:30am and this Legend pulls up next to me. The tinted windows rolldown and I see this chic and then a guy behind the wheel.
Stunnah: Nice Acura, What year?
Me: 2000, but your Legend is the car !
Stunnah: Nah mine is only a 91, but your car is cool....(then he talks other stunnah language which I don't understand. Marc whips out the Stunnah to English dictionary, so I can understand
)
Me: Have a good night...
...Next light
Stunnah: You need bigger wheels man !
Me: Nah, my wheels are ok. (I am on my Kosei's with Ecsta V700 R compound tires. Didn't have a chance to change to my street wheels)
Stunnah: Nah man, you have an Ack ! You need AT LEAST 17" wheels. See my wheels...(more stunnah language)
Me: Hmmm you're right let me think about it.
(NOT !)
Stunnah: Later
Me: Have a good night
Anyway, my old clutch has 43K miles on it and look at the pics below:
Friction disk. Still looks good. Springs are good.
It still has some "meat" on it.

Pressure plate is ok.
Flywheel is ok, also.
What is your opinion on the clutch? Is it good enough to sell?
Initial impression:
I can heal toe into a lower gear very quickly. Acceleration seems to be better. Once I have the clutch broken in this week, I can post "real world" impression. Driving home in the rain on bald race tires, didn't give me any chance to do anything (nor did I need to since the clutch wasn't broken in yet.).
Thanks Marc !

nope, got a new Comptech flywheel (main reason for getting a new clutch)
I stayed with a stock clutch. It lasted almost 45K hard city, autocross and track day miles, so I figured I can't go wrong with going stock again. (I am not planning on any power mods).

looks like your clutch is still in good/fair conditions after all those miles.....since you never go drag-race your car, I guess there's one of the reson why they're still in such conditions.
I'll be very interest to see how the Comptech flywheel work with the stock clutch.
btw...you guys were hardcore to work on car until 3am.....lucky I did not call Marc before I goto bed (~12am).....otherwise I would come over and hangout with you guys.

I think that flywheel will be just fine without resurfacing, actually the clutch still looks great, just throw it back in

Can you resurface the flywheel yourself? Also, how do you know if it needs to be resurfaced, besides grooves and heat spots. I plan on installing a Stage 3 clutch in my car, but don't know if I'm going to resurface it or not. Install is tomorrow.

Yep...we finished 2 JDM FD installs with flywheels and clutches at ~5am, I got home at 7am, just in time to call in sick for the day.
