Fuel system

OK, im currently upgrading my fuel system and i have a bunch of questions for you guys. What's going in is RC engineering 450CC injectors, AEM fuel Rail, AEM fuel pressure regulator.
Alright well i got the old fuel rail off with the old injectors still connected.
The injectors and the area that they sit in is very dirty and basically caked in some sh*t that looks like mud. Is this normal? The car is a 95 GSR with 130k miles. Also should i clean the area out well before I install my new injectors? Would Q-tips work well?
The injectors came with new clamps and wires(I guess your suppose to cut the old wires and clamps off and connect the new ones). Do I need to do this if the old clamps appear the same and clamp on fine or is it recommended to use the new ones?
When I put the injectors back in, am i suppose to have them placed a certain way or is ok just to basically place them in the same way they came out.
Thanks alot in advance for any help. If you know any good tips I should be aware of when I'm doing this please let me know. I am doing this by myself, and don't really know what i'm doing
Thanks!

Ok first you need to let a professional clean these injectors, they are sensitive...now I have too ask why are you putting 450's in? Are you running a turbo? If so you need to have a reliable fuel pump to feed these 450's and a computer to manage them.....you should be able to plug these right in without cutting anything.
the stock rubber ones are to big, i tried to use them on my 440 RC injectors and the rubber oring on top wasnt going in all the way. Also the stock rubber gromets that sit on the intake manifold are to big , u need to cut them down maybe .25 of an inch.
