With my first autox season beginning and probably running in D-Stock with an ITR I was wondering if anybody knows were I could get info on what setups some of the guys in the top 10 at this past year's championship were running. Tires, suspesions, etc. I know it's probably a long shot, but I was curious as to what the "big dogs" were doing to their vehicles.

I tried searching with Google to no avail.

From the old ITRCA site, here's what past National Champ David Fauth ran with his ITR...

- Custom-valved, non-gas, single-adjustable KONI shocks
- Carbotech Kelated-Metallic (Green) front brake pads
- H&R 5mm wheel spacers front and rear
- Kumho 225/50-15(F) & 205/50-15(R) on stock ITR wheels
- Custom exhaust (non-mandrel bent) from cat. back to 2-chamber
- Custom autocross alignment
- Flowmaster muffler
- Comptech reusable foam air filter replacement
- Valvoline Synthetic oil in engine
- Valvoline Synthetic brake fluid
- Redline MTL in transmission
- Redline WaterWetter in radiator
- Secret Ignition spark plug wires
- Sabelt 3" 4-point cam-lock harness
- Front clear-corners

 

Replace Kumho with Hoosier, though 225/45/15 on front and 205/50/15 on the back.

Actually, if I'm not mistaken, the last few ITR National Champs have been on Kumhos. I'll have to check, but I think thats the case.

 

2001 = Hoosier, 2002 was Kumho.

But...I still think Hoosiers are still a better tire for the car. The 2002 DS winner was good enough to overcome the tire difference. Much like GS with Priebe and the Kumho shod Celica.

 

What Kuhmos were people running? Victoracers?
