so i put on the skunk2 short shifter in my 96 gsr few days ago, and it almost feels stock!! anyone else notice this? is it any way adjustable??
it is shorter than stock...and no you cant really adjust it...i had the DC one on my car, its what all my boys run...nice and short..except they do break in half at times lol..
I thought the same thing at first also....but after using it for a few days after installing it, I began to notice that there is a big difference between the skunk2 and stock.....I LOVE mine, it is sooo much shorter and more precise then stock.
To sum it up, use it for a few days....you'll begin to notice the difference

i noticed a huge difference after installing my short shifter......and everyone who has driven my car noticed a big difference. i'm not sure why you it feels the same to you. give it a few days and maybe u will start to feel it.
somehow people always think that short shifters refer to the height of the actual shifter and not the throw...
as for which shifters to use: the dc and skunk2 are shorter throw than stock obviously or they would not have made them...the dc does sit lower than stock height as for the skunk2 i believe it does retain the height of a stock shifter if not taller.

"Yep put mine on about a month ago. Couldn't tell a damn difference. When I compared the stock shifter's length with the skunk2's. The skunk2 was about an half inch longer on the bottom end. It might be a shorter throw, but only a minium difference. Didn't think it was worth the money and time for the install. But was too lazy to take it out and return it."
thank you rayman, u seem to be the only one to realize it. i still have the stock **** and hoping a shorter **** might feel better
