Default Wanted: Tuning advice for Spec Bs

Hi folks,
Hitting the dyno tomorrow to tune my newly installed Todas Bs and would love some advice / recommendations from folks who have been there before.

Set-up is:
USDM B18c5
ported JDM 4-1
No cat / 2.5" exhaust
Toda Bs
Toda valvesprings / Ti retainers
Skunk 2 cam gears
V-AFC
ECU chipped - rev limit 9k
AER intake
Stock pistons / compressions, etc.
Prelude 290 injectors
In particular, advice on where folks tend to end up at on ignition timing and cam gear settings would be great.

It was great to hear this thing run again after two months of dormancy! Getting cage installed.

Ignition timing: depends on what kind of gas you use and intake cam settings

Cam timing: depends on dyno results - but some engines like advanced intake and retarded exhaust - my car liked advancement of both

increase timing. you really should have bumped up compression as you are not going to see the gains you expect with stock compression. minimum 11.5:1 compression is a must to get b's to run to there potential. also headwork would have been nice. set the idle between 700-1k rpm, gonna need to increase fpr probably but see what the dyno says and go from there

You don't HAVE to increase compression with B's. I gained 22hp to the wheels on stock compression with B's.

if you want b's to run to their FULL POTENTIAL you have to increase compression. you will get gains no matter what though

You can actually loss power if you don't tune it correctly. From what I know, Toda B love fuel, so make sure you take care of that on the dyno.

Default Initial results, input requested...

Hi folks,
Round 1 with the dyno netted a consistent 5-10 across the powerband over my old set-up (Stock ITR cams with 2.5" carsound cat). While I am reasonably pleased, I am sure there is more power left. Peak power was only ~187hp or so. More details:

Cam timing ended up at Intake +2, exhaust 0
Ignition timing at ~19 degrees
AF ratio between 13 and 13.6 most of the way.

Advancing the intake further lost power (+3 about the same)
Retarding the exhaust lost power
Never got around to advancing the exhaust

FWIW - I am using a PE timing belt (obviously does not affect power)

Would love suggestions on further tuning ideas for round 2 on the dyno (coming soom).
Also, exhaust is 2.5" with 2 straight through mufflers.

- Phillip
