Default Keyless door handle pics

I just finished putting them in. I went from this:

to this:

The RS door bezels were easy to install. The 4 dr rear handles were harder to install than I thought, though once I got the first side done the other side went pretty fast. I got the rear handles from http://www.ahmotor.com for about $40 each. They come pre-painted too if there was a 4 door in your color. It cost about the same as getting the key cylinder replaced, but the keyless door handles look better and maybe offer a little more security.

I have the interior door bezels going in, but for the outside, what happends if you lose your remote, or the battery dies and you need a key to get in? Through the trunk??

good idea

they don't make SSBP 4drs though

if you need to you can always crawl in through the hatch.

I don't think people use your keyhole to break in. Just my comment. But the no keyholes does look pretty clean. I may look into that sometime since I do have a 4 door. But what do you do to get in now? Just use your alarm to open the locks? What if your alarm transmitter battery dies?

In the before pics, you can see that someone stuck a screwdriver or something in the keyhole to break into my car. Also, you can usually tell when the alarm remote needs a new battery. The signal gets weak and you have to get close to the car to disarm it and unlock the doors.

I just followed the steps in the helms manual. The hard parts were taking out the cylinder rod. To get it off, I had to take out the door latch while trying not to bend the outer handle rod and manuvering around the window track.

Also disconnecting the outer rod from the outer handle was a pain. You're supposed to use diagonal cutter to remove it from the bushing, but I used the thin part of regular pliers.

Taking out the actual door handle was pretty hard at first. I removed the c-clip on the key cylinder which made it easier...the helms manual doesn't mention that.

Would #10 and 29 be the correct pieces if i was interested in swapping these out, so there is no power unlock switch? (only for the interior)
Also, is there anything that needs to be done with the extra wires or would I just leave them hanging theres?

edit: cant get the picture to work.. but its from the acurautomotiveparts.org site
if anyone can help me out that would be great, thanks.
