Painted intake?

Has anyone painted their intake? I just picked up a used AEM intake but the exterior condition of it is kind of crappy. I was thinking of painting it some sort of silver color to match my VSM coupe. Any tips or suggestions? Has anyone done this?

dont tell me that normal paint will flake off because its not high temp
