Just cleaned Opi's filthy engine bay a few weeks ago:

What's the green shock lookin sucka in your pic? Some sort of device to prevent movement?

how does engine feel havin that thing??

 

it supposed to minimize engine vibration, right?

 

Engine dampner, is that a Mr Alex product? It helps stabilize the motor under accelleration.

 

it really helps alot. before my dash feels like it want to fall on my lap going to 2nd, after i intalled the engine damper. no more shaking. less wheel hop

Not my car, but I know the method. They sprayed the car with the engine brite foam cleaner let it sit and then hose it off. Then they sprayed the entire bay with the armorall foaming tire treament and then shut the hood and start the car. that red car w/ the foam treatment is like cleaner than new. crazy.....

so that foam tire stuff does no damage to hoses or anything??

what im worried about is step 2. by rinse you mean a soft spray setting or a powerful burst to rinse the engine bay. water in the engine bay will not affect anyting? battery? dunno i wanna try it but im worried.

1. Spray FOAMY GUNK ENGINE BRITE all over the engine. Allow to sit for 15 minutes.
2. Rinse the engine completely.
3. Spray entire engine with FOAMY ARMOR ALL (IMPORTANT! it has to be the FOAMY kind, or you can catch your engine compartment on fire).
4. Start the car and close the hood for 20 (with engine running).

nice clean engine bays guys mine's so dirty right now
also about the green "shock" thing in that guy's engine, i know jdmhondaparts sells them i forgot but think they're Feel's. basically stabilizes motor so not so much "kick back"
