... ? There shouldn't be anything else... the backup lights are normally just 2 wires tho not a plug... the Y1 isn't electronic speedo sensor is it? is the plug on the same side as the starter... like... towards the firewall?

The plug on top of the Y1 trans is the VSS. The Y1 came out of the SiRs so it is an electronic VSS. by the way...my reverse lights dont come on ever since i did the swap. How do i make them work when i shift into reverse?

Just in case you didnt know, the 91-91 integra VSS is a direct swap for the electronic one that came on your Y1.

There should be at least one that is not matching up and that should do the trick. Happened to me too and Hasport showed me how. Let me know if you need me to explain further.

Just replace the electronic VSS to run your cable speedo with the one mentioned above or you can buy mine for $75 shipped...Electronic VSS are used to run SiR cluster (came stock in Japan).

if your back-up lights are not working since you did the swap then chances are the switch on the b tranny is bad, just take your old one off the d that worked before and put it on the b tranny. the vss that came with your b tranny can also be switched with your d series ive done it several times, it only fits one way, theres a notch if you look close. the cable is kinda short but still works. should solve your problems with no out of pocket cash

No you need the cable adapter and not the sensored adapter. after you get that the speedo cable will slide in like butter and you will not have a problem

If you still have your old tranny (d series), simply pull out the VSS (where your speedo cable is attached to the tranny) and transfer it to your new tranny (b series). As for the adapter your looking for, I'm assuming you want to use the electronic VSS (works on electronic jdm SiR speedometer cluster), that's difficult to find and you're better off getting a new/used vss...or you can hard wire and solder each pin to work.
