autocross is solo2.

The organization you're probably thinking of is SCCA. There's a link to the SCCA region locator at the FAQ thread at the top of the forum.

Look into the local BMWCCA, PCA, and other marque clubs. Most will have one or two (sometimes more) autocrosses a year. And their events tend to be smaller than SCCA events, which often translates into more runs for your money. Also, ask around at the SCCA events - there are very often one-off clubs that host events (I thinking Tarheel Sportscar CLub in NC, VMSC in VA, etc). And don't forget NASA - some, but not all, regions have an autocross program.

Also check out events in San Diego. The Qualcomm lots are huge.

nd8ch:

You can still come out and race on Sunday. Only the Saturday practice days are limited.

But you can still come out Saturday and ride with people and generally have a good time. I'm the course designer this weekend, come on by and hop a ride in the Slide-n-Squeal!

im gonna go watch saturday (tomorrow). i really wanted to do the practice session cause it looks like somethign i would really enjoy. I dont want to race without some practice, and Sunday is only 3-5 runs that count...im not really interested in the points card since i know my car is way out of the league. i was just looking for some fun. When May comes rolling around, ill be ready.
