Default a d15z1 swap? (for a budget, help me out)

these motors are really cheap, and right in my budget... (actually cheaper than a low mile A6)

has anyone had any experience with a VX motor? I heard the vtec isn't as good, but if it pulls the same / harder than an A6 - this should be the way to go

anyone have some more info on these engines, like HP / TQ

I've seen some D15's that were turbo but had a Z6 manifold with A6 head. Didn't too bad and was pretty quick. The only really good part about the VX is the head since it's a roller rocker but if your looking for gas MPG that's the way to do it but for performance I'd start with a Z6 bottom end, VX head, and a Y8/A6 manifold and start from there.
