Use one for an 88 - 91 Civic. I believe they are all the same. Get one with a good anti - drainback valve like Wix or Bosch. Don't get Fram. Anyway, it takes a little under 4 quarts of oil. I believei it is the same specification as listed on the stock air filter box (for a USDM car), but check the dipstick just to be sure.

Why don't you want to get the cheap (Fram/STP) type ones and get the BOSCH ones?

Fram has/had cardboard endcaps and a cheasy anti drainback valve that would let oil drain back out of the filter. Plus the filter medium was smaller than anyone elses. Look here for a comparison on different brands. http://people.msoe.edu/~yoderw....html

Not true. The new SOHC engines in the 7th gen's use a different, smaller filter. Fram PH7317. But yes, almost all Honda's use the same filter. I know one or two more that are different too.

Read that link above to see what's wrong with Fram, I still use them too but I've been trying to find something else to switch to. When you read that site it seems that every filter you see in a parts store is made by Fram anyways.
