i drove several miles with my tranny whining from, i later found out, low oil. i was probably a quart short (or close to it). it was whining very loud, loud enough to hear it going 50 with the window down. i oil lose probably resulted from either an axle which didn't seat or a damaged axle oil seal. my question is, what are the chances i damaged a transmission bearing?

 

well...put some MTF or ATF (which ever it is) in and see if it works....run it until it wont...and then you'll know
