B18c5 crx?
well...i am not running 10's, but maybe that is because i do not have boost. my best time is a 12.6 with slicks and everything on the motor except cams. 13.1 on street tires. i have yet to lose a race, and i am one of those ******** that races everyone....sorry i can't help it. you name it i have beat it. the only thing i haven't beat is my friends t-78 powered supra. and if i could beat that 600+hp beast then i would think that everyone would go out and buy a crx and put an itr motor in it.
heh...well now i am 2.0. 11 second daily driven. but i welcome all challenges. i know i am not the fastest in the world, but i have fun racing and my car can scare the pants off of many high priced sports cars. i do plan to come to texas for races though. maybe i will see you there.

well the type r swap ran me about $6000 installed. and i didn't have to pay labor charges...ouch. the thing was i had to buy a lot of extra stuff since the axles, linkage, etc... that came with the itr motor wouldn't work. but i sold that stuff to friends who needed them. so probably $5000 all said and done.
that seems pretty low, where did you buy your motor from? i was thinkin about the b16b since it would probably fit with more space and be a little lighter. so far the best price ive found was 4300 shipped but i dont think that comes with axles and definately not a mount kit
JDMCRXB18C5,
damn 12.6 on slicks..thats very impressive. What did you do get a 12.6, as in weight reduction, open header, or anything like that? also you said that was before cams, what cams did you put in afterwards and what where your times then?
broke,
b16b and b18c5 blocks are the exact same i believe. The crank i believe has a shorter stroke. Physical size and weight is identical give or take maybe a few pounds. Someone correct me if im wrong.

How much quicker do you think the cams would of helped by??
Geezz full interior too...so depending on what model crx you had....your car probably weighed 1,900-2,100 lbs without driver. which means my car needs to go on a 500 lb total diet......damn im almost there too!! 12s here i come!!!

cams made a significant difference...night and day. a lot more mid range and top end...especially after mid 8000's where the type r cams used to die off. techniaclly speaking they say if you have 200whp in a crx that is good for a 12.0 timeslip with full interior.

jdmcrxb18c5 - where in MD are you ? What track do you run ? I am in Southern MD, and I have run my stock
91 DX 4-door
at MIR once, and plan to run it a few more times after further engine work (read as "swap") as I figure I have abot 50 whp
I saw a 5th gen Civic (no interior, no exhaust, b18xx w/50shot) run a 12.61, but the drivers (multiple) had issues...I think they kept slapping the revlimiter (this observation is from a guy -me- that doesn't really know **** about drag racing that was sitting in the stands that day watching) trying to get from 1st to 2nd. It would have been awesome to see a 4th gen whip him!!!!
