Well what else can i say... you member's may have recalled when i was putting together my 1997 4-door integra gsr??? if not heres what it used to look like:





and im sorry to say this is what it looked like today:





it seems some wires the shop had taped together didnt agree with one another.... and my car caught on fire in my moms back yard.. fire trucks took about 15min's to get there
so i lost the whole car to this blaze and i was feeling like **** the whole week. i didnt even have the title in my hands when this fire took place...so it wasent registerd, which means a didnt have any insurense so its a rap. i lost about 6500 in this car

lesson here is Never cut 2 harnes's to make one.. the guy that did this is me is in Dominican republic so i dont think i will be paying him a visit any time soon
.... my wife, grandmother, and pop's felt bad for me and all chipped in and helped me buy a 1998 CLEAN TITLE integra LS .... im the second owner and this car was dealer maintained since day one when the kid got it. i mean i even have dealer recipts for rotating tires and changing tires etc.. etc..

DAMN.. sorry about the little fire.. i would be devistated if that happened to me. ANd then to have no coverage.. it was nice of your family to pitch in.
SO was the car off.. and just ignited?!?!?!?!

Damn sorry to hear about your loss man! Was anything salvageable from the car that you could possibly part out to make some of your money back?

Anyways, the new teg looks awesome! I'm an LS owner myself. hehe

 

from what i see, only the 4door's,spindles,front bumper(which is ugly anyway),rear bumper,trunk..
im taking my kyb/agx and nuespeed's off this weekend and there going in my ls

 

you have a nice family....bad wires suck....nice new car, i wish i had a clean title...

 

What are you looking to get for it? Do yo kow exactly what needs to be replaced?

Ouch man, that sucks. Good luck with whatever project might come your way. I'd hate to have that happen, and am now actually worried about my car after hearing your story. I wired my deck by doing some cutting and electrical tape work, and I'm already paying too much for my car so I'd lose hella money if that happened (even insured). Anyway, good luck. Who knows, this might be how something bigger and better begins

-new complete harness
everything that goes under the dash
-hood-
-windshield
etc...........

the motor still looks semi-ok. you'd probably need to replace a lot of sensors and obviously any other plastic parts on it, but you might want to consider pulling it before you scrap the rest of the car. sell the 4-wheel disc swap to someone, 'cause you can make money off of that too.

some kid on here bought a burnt up d16y8 and put a new intake manifold, distributor, valve cover and plug wires on it and it ran fine.

 

oh dam i forgot to mention that the motor is sold

how long ago was the harness cutting done? Was the fire soon after, or was it delayed a while? This makes me paranoid about the wiring work I did for my stereo. I'm sorry for your loss man, and I hope that you'll grow to like this car as much as your last.

it was done about a month before the fire but came in mind i wasnt driving the car for that month cause i was waiting for my nys inspection . after i pass inspection i was in a good mood so i turned it on in my back yard with my new 00 itr cluster and clock
both lost

 

What wires caused the fire? The wires in the stereo harness or the engine harness?

Damn dude, same thing almost happened to my friends camaro when he tried to wire in a tach ....althought only a small section of the engire harness was messed up so he was fine, but at least you still got a nice teg to build on. gl w/the new car man.

 

dont mean to be an ***, sorrry for your loss but on the other hand the new teg looks way better. dont put a gay bumper on this one

 

hahahaha the 4door came like that, im anti-rice i was trying to sell that bumper
