Default brake and clutch master cylinders

Alright, I'll try to be brief. I think my BMC is going out because if I put gradual pressure on the pedal, it'll sink to the floor, but if I push the pedal hard to a position that'll stop me, it won't sink. So, ball park, how much would a new brake master cylinder be?

Also, I believe the clutch master cylinder is going as well because I was looking at the clutch pedal hinge, and there was fluid all over the firewall (on the inside of the car) and it was just running behind the carpet... Again, how much would it cost to get a new one?

Next question, if those parts are too expensive new, would I be safe getting them off of another gsr? My friends own a shop and they came into the acquisition of this car and it was totalled, but everything in front of the firewall was okay. They want 100 bucks for both cylinders, but that's kinda steep, i think. Should I just get those if they look good?

Last question. Would some sort of upgraded fuel system be benificial to a basically stock gsr? I have an intake and exhaust, but my parents won't let me get anything to make the car faster, so I want to make the car run better. Will a fuel pressure regulator and/or fuel rail make a difference? Thanks.

Yes it sounds like your MC seals are going out. From Acura Automotive Parts $183.31

Again yes, it sounds like your clutch MC. From Acura Automotive Parts $98.28

I personally wouldn't. The reason is both MC's are known for going bad, so in time you will be replacing the used ones again.

No, it's not worth the money you will pay for it. You couldn't get a header or something?? If you definitely can't do anything to make the car go faster, why don't you do something with the suspension and brakes? That will make the car more fun to drive.

If you want OEM Acura parts at discount prices, give Len @ Baranco Acura a call @ 770-961-3007 or toll free @ 888-722-7262 and ask for the Acura store. Please mention you are from Honda-Tech.

The car is already a blast to drive (illuminas, ground controls, suspension techniques front & rear sway bars, 215/40/16 kumho 712's, Hawk HP+ pads) so that's why I asked. Oh, thanks for the price quotes for those cylinders. I just found a local autozone that has them, but they're rebuilt. Would they be okay? Or should I fork over the money for completely new ones from honda/acura? Thanks.

If fluid is leaking from your firewall its your master clutch cylinder.
If fluid is leaking from under your car check your salve clutch cylinder, its near your transmission. It can also be seen from the engine bay.

Nopi sells the Master Clutch Clyinder for 45 bucks. Made by Tokico.
Autozone sells a remanufactured Slave Clutch Cylinder for 11.00, Yes 11.00 dollors.
