Some guy wants to sell me his stock Type R exhaust from his '01 for $200. It's the whole cat-back. It's in perfect condition, doesn't even look like it was ever used. Let me know what you guys think..
id say see if u can negotiate with him, but i don't think its all that bad of a deal... but i'm not sure what the used market value is of those. Is that picked up price? or shipped?
would the type r exhaust be louder than stock. i dont understand why woundnt u just buy an aftermarket cat-back
As for price, the usual price I see them go for is between $200-$250 for the full catback.

Ima try to get him to go for $150. How can you tell if the exhaust is a legit type r exhaust though? Is there anything that gives it away?

The piping is mandrel bent on the type r exhaust. That means that it has the same diameter throughout all the bends. If it is not mandrel bent you can see how the piping gets smaller throughout the bends.
