Default 1993 Accord F22A6 ...Rev Limiter Bad, High RPM Good!

I have an EX 5spd w/F22A6 140hp & 142tq stock. I have done all of these mods: DC Sports Adjustable Cam Gear (-4deg.), DC Intake, DC 4-2-1 Ceramic Header,
ACT Xtreme Clutch Kit# HA3-XTSS, Timing Advance ECU Chip, NGK-R Plugs and Wires, Hyper Ground System, Tenzo-R High-Flow Cat, Full 2.5" custom exhaust,
Arospeed Muffler w/5" angle-cut tip. I currently ran a best of 15.81 1/4 mile et on 17's. My stock ECU rev limits at 6600 rpm, this is just not enough for me. all the mods I have done add top end hp and I know the engine could handle the occasional 7500 rpm. SO... does any body know how to bypass the rev limiter or if any company makes an ECU chip for my car? thanks

You've also got to consider things like the piston stroke and cam load when it comes to redlines... the redline on the F series motors is that low for a reason. You can program your own rom but I don't recommend messing with the redline much.

Get a p14 lude computer from the H23A. I have one in mine with the Lude injectors. it'll scream thru 1st and 2nd all the way to 7000 no problem. The CEL comes on after a few minutes because there is no knock sensor. I'm not saying it won't due bad things long term, but i've run like this for the past month plus 2 months before the snow hit. But my motor burns oil and has 301,XXXkms on it so i really don't care if it blows.

you can either chip the h23 to remove the knock sensor

use the JDM DOHC F22b ecu which has no knock sensor

The H23A or F22B's ECU would be a good choice. I'm not sure if the F22B's ECU controls Secondary intake runners like the H23A's does though. You could always have the H23A's ECU programed to disable the knock sensor input. Many aftermarket tuners roms disable the knock sensor input anyway.

As for the Stock ECU in your 1993 EX chipping it is not worth it. That ECU has the microprocessor and eprom incorperated together much like newer OBD-2 ECU's do so chipping it would be very expesive because of the price of the chip. Plus you'd probably have to have the rom custom tuned since I've never seen a rom other then the stock floating around for that ECU.

Good Luck
