take off piece...clean it with simple green...lightly sand it, spray it off with simple green again...spray it with stained glass spray paint from krylon...let dry, spray again...

Corners and bumpers.

3 or 4 light coats of Krylon orange stain glass from Michaels, followed by a few coats of clearcoat. All on the outside. Im happy with them for only around $30 spent on project.

Has anyone had problems with Krylon Paint. I was starting to paint mine but after two coats it started to look like it had little dots in it. (hard to explain). Sort of like a crackle affect. Is this normal or am i doing something wrong? Thanks! Also these are brand new clears.

You could wet sand it and then throw on some more coats..

You probably got dust on it. Just normally floating in the air, itll catch in the paint.

It's not dust. It's like bubbles. I think I might have sprayed to much paint. I'm going to wet sand them and start over again with much lighter coats.

If it's got bubbles, you might not have cleaned enough. Something was probably left behind on the surface causing the bubbles. This is me trying to sound like I know what I am talking about, so I may be wrong, but that's my first guess. Try it again.

Go to a hobby store and buy some Tamiya Clear Orange. Give it about two coats and "walla".

Yes, I used Tamiya model paint, used the amber and one coat of "smoke" too. I dont remember if the smoke is on it in that pic. I can take another one to be sure. But the reflector doesnt blend with the color if you dont use enough.
